Ready to pick up your needle and start stitching? First Stitch is the perfect introduction to needlepoint! You’ll choose your favorite 13-count canvas kit from several fun options. Each kit includes everything you need to get started: canvas, threads, project bag, needle, and scissors. Join us for one fun evening of stitching, 5:30–8:00 PM, where you’ll learn the basics, make your first stitches, and get ready to fall a-lotta-bit in love with needlepoint!
Oct 27 - Nov 17 | Level 2 | Beginner Squares Sampler
New to needlepoint or looking to expand your skill set? Or maybe you’re looking to meet your new stitchy best friend? This is the perfect four-week class to build your needlepoint foundation, learn something new, and stitch together!
Robin will teach you 11 stitches, including basketweave, continental, and 9 decorative stitches, as well as how to read a stitch guide, ply and lay threads, work with multiple threads within a stitch, and compensate your stitches.
By the end of class, you'll have a finished sampler- and, more importantly, the skills, foundation, and confidence to take on your next needlepoint project!

Got a WIP that's been giving you the side-eye? Bring Your current project or a brand-new one and Stitch Your Stash with friends! Whether you're a needlepoint newbie or a seasoned stitcher, Robin will be on-hand to help you jump hurdles, tackle tricky spots, answer questions, and spark your creativity. Come stitch, laugh, learn, and leave a little more inspired than when you arrived!
Meet Her Royal Stitchiness - Robin Givens
Hi, I’m Robin, and I LOVE fiber arts—all of them! My mother taught me to cross stitch when I was around 12, and I’ve been stitching ever since. I cross stitch, needlepoint, and knit, (among other crafty things).
Around 2007, I wandered into a LNS looking for a skein of DMC 444 because the line at the big craft store was too long. Welcome to needlepoint! I was hooked. I started taking every class the shop offered, eventually worked there for several years, and taught weekly classes and retreats. I also started my own canvas line, Hilary Jean Designs, named after my beloved dog, Hilary Jean.
My favorite part of needlepoint is sharing it with others! Watching new stitchers build their skills and confidence, selecting fibers and stitches together, and sharing techniques and ideas with seasoned creative stitchers. It's all SO FUN!
I'm looking forward to meeting you, stitching together, and learning what you love most about needlepoint!
